Main / Mobile optical rigs

POMS-XX optical mobile rids are intended to be an interface between a TV mobile unit and an optical fiber access point.
The mobile rig is based on PROFITT's «PROFLEX™» family of modules.
Rigs fit into 4U or 6U cases. The 19" chassis hosts all the racks and subracks in a rig. The frontal and rear sides are covered with the easily-detachable lids. All the external cabling is attached to the patch-panels accessed when the frontal lid is off.
An example 4U rig's case is shown below:

Mobile rig's features:

POMS-200 features

• optical transmission of SDI/PAL/SECAM video with up to four audio channels and unidirectional RS-232 data
• optical reception of SDI/PAL/SECAM video with up to four audio channels and unidirectional RS-232 data
• optical tranceiving of ETHERNET frames, remote monitoring of rig's status

The upper tray of the rig contains the PPS-1A patch-panel featuring the BNC video, XLR-3 audio and DB-9 RS-232 data connectors.
Under the PPS–1A tray the 1U «PROFLEX™» rack is located hosting all the functionality modules. The rack's frontal lid is retractable, opening the access to the modules inserted in the rack.
Under the 1U «PROFLEX™» rack's tray the PPS-2 patch-panel is located with the following:

• 220VAC power supply unit with the mains connector, fuse and ON/OFF switch
• Ethernet 10/100/1000Base-T RJ45 connectors
• optical connector
• optical MUX/DEMUX

In the lower tray the sixteen-port Ethernet switch is located.

POMS-201 features:

  • SDI/PAL/SECAM video with up to four audio channels and unidirectional RS-232 data
