POTM-3251 series 4-channel TimeDivisionMultiplexed SDI/ASI optical transmitters

POTM-3251 optical transmitters provide the Time Division Multiplexing of up to four SDI or ASI electrical streams to transmit over a single optical wavelength signal. POTM-3251 is intended to pair with the PORC-3271 optical receiver. POTM-3251 module occupies one slot in the PROLFEX 1U/3U racks so that up to four transmitters fit into a 1U rack and up to fifteen into a 3U rack.

General description

POTM-3251 simplified schematics:

An input SDI or DVB/ASI signals are serialized by means of the TDM (TimeDivision Multiplexing). The serialized data is converted into an optical signal of a single wavelength which is available at the optical output.

  • LOCK 1...4 – lit if there is an input signal on a channel
  • LOSS 1...4 – lit when an input signal is lost

The remote control and management from a PC

All the “PROFLEX” modules are remote controllable from a PC. This facility is available if a rack is fitted with a CPU module (ordered separately).
