POTR-3209 series FastEthernet optical transceivers

POTR-3209-(D) optical transceivers provide the 100BaseT FastEthernet bidirectional communication over an optical fiber. A pair of POTR-3209-(D) provide the full duplex link over one or two (modification index “D”) optical fibers. The following modifications exist:

General description

POTR-3209 simplified schematic:

An RX input electrical signal of FastEthernet stream is reclocked and converted into optical signal available at the optical output.

An optical signal is detected, processed and FastEthernet stream is provided at TX output.

In a dual-fiber modification (index “ D ”) one fiber is used to transmit, the other is used to receive on the 1310nm (1550nm by request) wavelength. For the CWDM optical systems the external MUX/DEMUX are required, RX and TX are on the different CWDM wavelengths.

A single-fiber modification is fitted with the built-in optical MUX/DEMUX.
