“PROFLEX” modules occupy slots of a 19"-rack which has two form-factors:
- PFR-1U - 4 slots, 1U high
- PFR-3U - 17 slots, 3U high
(racks are 350mm deep).
All slots are interconnected via a backplane providing the control bus, the global synchronization and the power supply.
The controls
"PROFITT" Ltd provides the software and hardware package to control all sorts of "PROFLEX" modules and devices.
Any "PROFLEX" module may be controlled remotely and/or from it's own front panel buttons and switches.
- a rack may be fitted with a CPU that provides connectivity for all modules in a rack with a remote control panel or a personal computer via RS-232/RS-485 communication links or via Ethernet
- every module has a microcontroller with a nonvolatile memory that keeps module's operating state, system configuration, provides the local and remote control.
