PTRS-7262-(CW)## series HDSDI/SDI/ASI optical transponders

PTRS-7262(CW) optical transponders regenerate HD SDI (1.485 Gbps), SDI and ASI streams, optionally converting the optical wavelength at the output. PTRS-7262 module occupies one slot in the PROLFEX 1U/3U racks so that up to four transmitters fit into a 1U rack and up to fifteen into a 3U rack.

General description

PTRS-7262(CW) simplified schematics:

An input optical signal is detected and converted to electrical form. A normalised signal drives the laser at the optical output and is available at two electrical outputs. A serial stream, in case of SDI input standard, is decoded to obtain the EDH status and to extract video for monitor output in PAL or NTSC standards.

The operation mode is selected by toggling the MODE button, the editing is done by pressing the UP and DOWN buttons.

The editable modes are:

  • AUTO – automatic input standard selection
  • FORCE – manual input standard selection
  • RESET EDH – resets the EDH error counter

The indicators:

  • LOSS – lit if there is no input signal
  • EDH DET – lit when an input signal contains valid EDH packets
  • EDH MIN/HOUR – lit if an EDH error was detected whithin the last minute/hour interval
  • ASI, SDI, HD – an input standard indication

The remote control and management from a PC

All the “PROFLEX” modules are remote controllable from a PC. This facility is available if a rack is fitted with a CPU module (ordered separately).
