PROFLEX™ PPIC-3351 series GPI processor provides the flexible solution to GPI commands handling. The several modes of operation are available:

• mode “A” - GPI command generation/receiption/transmission from it's frontal panel or from PROFITT™ rack's built-in CPU
• mode “B” - PIC-4051 emulation (RS-232-to-GPI converter)
• mode “C” - PIC-4052 emulation (GPI-to-RS-232 converter)

The number of managed GPI lines may be increased by cascading up to six PPIC-3351 processors.

General description

PPIC-3351 series GPI processor fits into a 3U or 1U PROFLEX™ rack. The module consists of the two subboards - the frontal with all the local controls and indicators, and the rear one with the interface connectors.

The remote control and management from a PC

All the PROFLEX™ modules are remote controllable from a PC. This facility is available if a rack is fitted with a CPU module (ordered separately).
